Jesus, the Key (4)
"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." Revelation 1:18 (NKJV)
Jesus lives forever, though He died for our sins, He arose from the dead in perfect victory over death and hell.
As we are in Christ we will share in this victory over death John 11:25-26 says; ‘Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”’
So we will be thanking God today for the eternal life we have in Christ:
Father, we thank you for sending Your only begotten Son to redeem us from the powers of darkness of this world and bringing us into the Kingdom of light.
Thank You Father for Your light that shines through us, it's not by our power or by our might, but by Your spirit.
Thank You Father for Your Holy Spirit working in us and for the grace to walk in the Spirit.
Thank You, Father, for the hope of eternal life in Your presence, and for the victory over death, we do not have the power to do this for ourselves, but You have graciously bestowed this on us through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, because You love us.
Thank you Father for Your love, and for the grace to pray to You in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I confess You as my Lord, and I believe that You are the only begotten Son of God sent to die for my sins, which You did and arose from the dead by the power of God for my justification.
Please, Lord, help me to live for you and experience this eternal life You have promised. Amen.
