PATIENCE IN STILLNESS
“Rest in the LORD,and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked device to pass. Psalms 37:7 KJV.
Stillness is when you step away from the busyness of life and connect with God. Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble or suffering without getting angry or upset.
Whoever is patient has great understanding but one who is quick tempered displays folly.
When you wait patiently on God it is never a waste of time just see it as a room for bigger blessings. Being patient, allows you to get closer to God and hear Him because the devil is always at work. Let’s look at people in the Bible who waited patiently for God. Let’s look at the life of Abraham and Sarah they trusted God and they waited patiently for God. But today Abraham is known as the father of all nations. Look at Job’s life after everything that has happened in his life. He still waited patiently and trusted God. Today Job is known as a man of integrity. Our Saviour Jesus Christ displays God’s patience in his work of salvation.
Have faith, trust God, wait patiently and see what God has in store for you. Do not be discourage when waiting because when God timing comes, it will be double. So, I encourage you to be patient in stillness.
Let Us Pray
Father, I ask that you will give me the patience I need to have in Jesus name.
Father please, forgive me and help me to be patient with others as you have been patient with me.
Lord Jesus, we pray that any of your children that is being discouraged while waiting for you for one thing or the other, Father, please encourage them and answer their request.
Thank you Jesus for answering our prayers. In Jesus’ name we have prayed. Amen!!!
