Be Still In Prayer
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" Psalms 27: 13-14 (NKJV)
To be still in prayer means to pray and wait for God to send the answers. When we find ourselves in times of trials, it sometimes feels like we’re alone, it feels like God is silent at a time that appears like we need to hear Him much more clearly than ever. During these times; we might be tempted to take matters into our own hands and try to “get whatever we can from the situation”, however; these are the times when we are most likely to make the wrong choices, simply because we are overwhelmed emotionally.
At these times, when it appears like “we are on our own”, the best approach is to stay still in the place of prayers, it is in this place of stillness in prayers that we can overcome these situations. From our passage, we see that waiting on God will enable us to receive strength from God.
Patience in tribulations is proof that we have hope in God and that He will bring everything He has told us to pass. It is also proof that we believe in God as seen in our Bible passage for today.
Let Us Pray:
Father, I thank You because according to Your Word, You are with me till the end of time, I thank You because, although; a mother may forget her suckling child, but You will never forget me.
Thank You, Father, because You will never leave me nor forsake me.
Lord Jesus, I put all of my burdens on You and patiently wait for Your intervention. I know You are not slack concerning Your promises, and You are Yes and Amen.
Lord, please give me the grace to be still and wait for Your salvation. Lord, please renew my strength as I wait on You.
Thank You, Father, because You are faithful and true. In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen!!
