JOY IN NATION
“But be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.” Isaiah 65vs18 (KJV)
Joy is an unspeakable feeling or emotion. However, we can say that joy is a feeling of pleasure and great delight resulting from our confidence in God’s word. Joy comes from a place of rest in God’s promises and doesn’t respond to our human experience. This means that a situation or experience cannot make one more joyful or less joyful because joy isn’t based on happening, joy is based on confidence in God’s word.
A nation is a group of people bound by a common culture, language, history or some other form of shared features, usually within a certain geographical area. It is pertinent to understand that God is the creator of all nations. Act 17:26 If the inhabitants of a nation are blessed, then the nation is a blessed nation and vice verse. On that note, it is safe to say that joy in a nation means joy in the people.
Proverbs 29:2 tells us that having the right leaders is an important factor in bringing joy to a nation. When the right leaders are in positions of power they ensure and attract good things to the nation. We need leaders who are led by God to move our Nation forward in every fact. No nation can progress on the wisdom of man. God’s wisdom is key to the progress of a nation. Isaiah 12:6, makes us understand that when the lord dwells in a nation there will be joy there.
One man is sufficient to change the story of a nation. Remember how God used Joseph through his gift to save the land of Egypt from famine. Remember how God used Moses to bring the children of Israel out of captivity in Egypt. God can use you to bring joy to your nation. God is counting on you to bring joy to your Nation.
