Your Hands (2): In Warfare

“He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms” (2 Samuel 22:35, KJV).

When a child of God has been deeply hurt, the only legal way in the spirit realm to give a fitting reply to the devil and whoever his cohort is is to war on your knees. The scripture tells us that our battle is not canal, we use only weapons that are potent enough to pull down every stronghold of the enemy.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12, KJV).

In David’s words, according to 2 Samuel 22, God has taught our hands how to war. He has made our hands strong enough to break a bow of steel. When you raise those hands in prayer, you are warring just like Moses did when faced with a battle against the Amalekite.

“And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed”

Exodus 17:11, KJV

My Father in the Lord would say “when you clap your hands, you are hitting the heads of the enemy against another” (Adeboye, n.d.).

Let us pray

Lift up those hands now and pray your heart out to God!
