Oil Of Ease: The Heavy Ladened
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
Ease is a state where there’s no difficulty! Oil of ease connotes anointing someone with ease. Anointing is the process of bestowing authority on someone (see Acts 10:38).
From our text, we see that Jesus Christ promises rest for the heavily ladened, so we will be praying for the heavy-ladened today that they may receive the oil of ease to relieve them of their hard labour and heavy laden.
Let us pray:
Father, we thank you for the Gift of Jesus Christ Your only begotten Son, who will give everyone who comes to him rest from all their labours.
Lord, we pray for everyone heavily ladened with thoughts that weigh them down, please Father, anoint them with the oil of ease.
For those that are labouring, please anoint them with oil of ease that they need to come into their rest, as they come to you.
We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
