Potency—The Word Is Powerful
Welcome to April! We will be looking at the potency of the word this month.
If you have been following this blog, you would have noticed that we have been looking into the proceeds of the Oil of Ease this year. As we have received the oil of ease, we have access to light, favor and more. Hence, this month we have chosen to consider the power that the word wields when we speak. A man who has received the oil of ease has received the authority of words. Not just the word of God but even his own words becomes an authority.
"Psalm 29:3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters."
One thing that I want to first establish is that the word of God is His voice. This means that when you speak His words, you are activating His voice and inviting Him to echo His voice through yours and when that happens, your voice becomes authority through the word of God in your mouth.
The moment you spoke His words, you invited Him to join His mouth with yours.
Let alone His voice, the word of God is Jesus, The Son of God who is God Himself. The book of John testifies to the fact that the word of God is God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1, KJV
So, if the word of God is God Himself, it means that the word is All-Powerful and has no limit.
Our anchor text tells us that, the voice of God, that is His words was released upon the waters which again paints the picture of the creation when the earth was just water and darkness—the moment the word stood upon the waters, the glory of God broke through the darkness.
The waters may represent your dark situations but I have come to announce to you that, as you speak the word of God over those things, the glory of the Lord is about to be released and you are getting ready to experience the most important positive transformation of your life.
If I were you, I would pen down those challenges and begin to speak the word of God over them until they give way.
You are about to experience the greatest transformation of your lives in the name of Jesus!
