Testimonies of the Brethren (3)

“ And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony: and they loved not their lived unto death" (Revelation 12:11, KJV)

Testimony of the brethren is the living word that comes out of the mouth of the brethren whenever they are in a battle or valley to fight. We can see in the case of David when he was talking to King Saul and Goliath Samuel 17:32-47, the Bible also recorded in the days of Jehoshaphat in Judah when the children of Moab and the children of Ammon came against Jehoshaphat in battle 2chronicles 20:3-17.

Testimony of the brethren comes into reality or fulfillment through faith. David spoke with faith and he was able to smite the champion of the philistine. Jehoshaphat called out for Judah to gather themselves together and declared fasting and prayer which was backed up with faith because they were expecting a victory after a spiritual exercise.

Testimonies of the brethren can also be a shout of joy or victory whenever a battle is won. David engaged God in the place of prayer through testimonies psalm 105. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 says “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him”.

Testimonies serve as a forum that opens man’s heart to know that what God cannot do doesn’t exist. When your hopes are dashed on, when trouble comes or when you feel like giving up or when the evil in the world seems overwhelming, when temptations seem stronger than you are, the living word in you has given you evidence of overcoming. Ephesians 3:20.

So, therefore have good and proper knowledge about the testimonies and word of God over the brethren in the ancient times and the present, so that you also can overcome. As we have seen in those Bible verses.
