My Testimony (5)
(Psalm 71:7-8, NLT) My life is an example to many, because you have been my strength and protection. That is why I can never stop praising you; I declare your glory all day long.
Ever notice that our God doesn’t just want to bless us? He doesn’t just meet our expectations but goes beyond what we could ever hope or imagine. I was reminded of that fact just recently when God did something so extraordinary for me, so profound and personal, that it went beyond my expectations…in fact, it was a miracle.
A few months ago, I had a terrible experience. It was a normal day at work and I had decided to work late. Took a bus, only to find me in the wrong place at the wrong time. In the course of the journey, I was forced to give all I had in my bank accounts at the time and was threatened with literarily everything possible. I also witnessed a man almost beaten to death right in front of me.
I immediately started praying in my spirit, believing God for a miracle. It wasn’t until we were being transported to where we were supposed to be “disposed of” according to them that I saw a gap of escape that I never thought existed. I never knew I could run that fast but to my surprise, these guys were running after me at almost the same pace with all sorts of weapons.
Just when it felt like I was losing my breath and they were catching up, some good Samaritans showed up and fought them off. They also took the liberty of transporting me to safety.
Not only did God save me from the hand of the kidnappers, but he also sent angels to help. You can imagine my excitement and relief after safety. Hallelujah!
In answer to my silent prayer, the Lord went beyond my expectations…beyond what I could even think or imagine. I prayed that God should save me from the hand of the kidnappers, but God went a step beyond that request and not only showed a channel of escape but sent angels to assist. What a mighty God we serve!

This is my encouragement to you today, my friend. Don’t ever doubt the power of God to work miracles in your life. No matter what you’re going through you can trust our God with the answer. Whether it’s your health, your marriage, negative reports, or whatever it may be… always keep praying, asking and exercising your faith. Whatever He did for me, He will do for you.
Believe in the impossible, and trust God to do the impossible! He cares for you. He loves you. And, He wants to bless you beyond what you can ever hope or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
