Safety In Light
Proverb 18:10 KJV “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
In my research I have been able to establish the fact that proper lighting makes all work tasks easier. People receive about eighty five percent (85%) of their information through their sense of sight. Therefore, proper lighting is essential for people to be able to see and understand their work environment. Poor lighting can cause eye strain, headaches, and fatigue. It can also lead to accidents and mistakes. Good lighting can improve productivity, reduce errors, and increase safety.
Having established these facts, we can conclude that light is actually needed for safety. Moreover, in biblical terms (Psalm 119:105), we are made to understand that the light of God illuminates our life and gives us direction. This simply implies that under that same light, we have our safe haven and can be guided in the right direction.God wants every one of us to know him because of the transforming power of his light and the knowledge, indescribable joy it brings into our lives. It is to be as a light, that dispels the darkness from the lives of those around us and bring them into safety.
Nigeria is a country of great potential and promise. We have a rich cultural heritage, a vibrant economy, and a diverse population. We have the potential to be a leader in Africa and the world. But we have been held back by decades of mismanagement, corruption, and political apathy as seen in the past election. Irrespective of these prevalent thuggeries and tyranny in our country during this election, God remains our safety and light! He has called us to be a light to the world, to be a beacon of hope, and a source of inspiration to those around us. We must be willing to take the lead in creating a world where everyone is accepted and loved, regardless of their differences. We must be willing to stand up for what is right and just and to speak out against injustice and oppression. We must be willing to be a voice for those who have been silenced.
People, we might be tempted to build a selfish empire in this dark world but trust in God’s salvation can keep us in the light. The devil wants us to hide in the dark (a place of vulnerability), but we don’t need to choose darkness. God is on our side! He has brought us into his marvelous light (safety).
Conclusively, it is safe to say that Jesus’s return poses a huge problem for people that live in and love the darkness. So, for the sake of our own eternal souls, it is essential that we build our lives up in the light of Christ and find safety in it, so that the things we know and love will continue with you when the light of Christ has risen and eternity begins!
My question is, where exactly are you? Are you still affected by the darkness of this world and struggling for safety? The decision is yours, make it happen for yourself. Find that everlasting light today and find safety.
God bless you!
