“He will flatter and win over those who have violated the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will resist him” (Daniel 11:32, NLT).
Testimonies of the Brethren (2)
Hullo there! I’d always say that it’s so good to write to you anytime even when reasons not to write might be dancing around my heart. On a lighter note, this makes me feel like I’m in Apostle Paul’s shoes because I’m writing a note or an epistle to you. Lol.
When you come across the word Testimony, what comes to your mind? A testimony involves recounting an incident whether for or against a cause or an individual. This takes us back to an important aspect that many Brethren do not consider when they speak, many of us don’t even consider that there’s power in what we say, not only that, our words and actions are documented, reviewed, and gotten back to for references. Lol. Funny right? Yeah, but very true. Backing this up is the Bible that has a record of the words and actions of Patriarchs and Matriarchs of faith on how they handled their lives while they walked the earth.
You see friend, if many of us know and truly understand that what we are presently doing will be a testimony that will stand for or against us, we’d be more careful with the words we speak, the thoughts we think, and the actions we take. In other words, the formulation of your testimony is entirely dependent on the choices that you and I make.
The testimony of the Brethren is not only a defense mechanism put in place by God for the benefit of a Christian, it is a reward mechanism put by God by which a Christian can sow into and reap from here on earth and in the blessed ages to come. Guess what? It’s not too late to retrace your steps if you’ve been laying the wrong precedents of testimonies, no bro, no sis, it isn’t. The day you know the truth and start living by it, that day you start living! Hallelujah!
Now that we know what testimonies are, it will be easier to outline and understand the importance of the testimonies of the Brethren, not just to God but to we the children of God. This we will do God willing in our next note to you. Till we see again, shalom!
Let us pray!
Dear Lord, the Alpha-Omega, the Maker of heaven, earth, and everything, You’re the Most High and there’s none like You! Help us to know that our being on earth is not for us but You, this, we have to live our lives to please You for it is in this that we shall obtain a good testimony that we pleased You in Jesus’ name.
Thank You Father for answering our prayers, in Jesus’ most precious name have we prayed. Amen.
