“He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action” (Daniel 11:32, ESV)

Welcome to a new month and the beginning of the sub-series, testimonies of the brethren!

Testimonies of the Brethren (1)

In the law courts, witnesses are brought to the witness stands to give their testimonies which are valid evidence needed for conclusive judgments. You may wonder why this is being brought forward now but it is the only way to help you realize the importance of your testimonies.

Why  your testimonies are relevant?

The Bible tells us that out of the mouth of the righteous comes wisdom and our tongues speak justice. Psalms 37 vs 30. Meaning that we have important roles to play in what judgment we receive in life. Little wonder why Jesus told us the mysteries of words, being spirit, and life. John 6:63. Many notable statements have been made about words in the Bible, we have been told that the whole world was made through words. You might say that the Bible was referring to God’s words. Yes, but remember that you were made in the image of God. Meaning that even you are supposed to act like your Father!

Two things to note

  • Your testimonies can become a powerful missile against the enemy, overriding the judgment of the enemy over you.
  • Your testimony can also be a life-saving amulet for you—reminding yourself of the acts of God or His promises to you, that way you can level up over any storm that faces you.

I came across some wonderful verses in the book of Psalms, chapter 119, yesterday while studying my Bible. I will share some of them with you:

“Psalm 119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart”

“14. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches”

“Psalm 119:31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame”

“Psalm 119:46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed”

“Psalm 119:129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them”

“Psalm 119:138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful”

The enemy is only waiting to hear what you know. What do you know?

When the enemy comes for you and you have nothing to say, well, he will trample all over you and feed you with what he has cooked up.

Even if you think that God has done nothing for you, that’s fine but what have you learned from the scriptures?

My testimony
A few years ago, the Lord gave me a word that I have been praying about and trusting Him for the manifestation. Although the word is yet to manifest completely I can tell you that I am not where I used to be. God has been leading me by the hand, every step of the way and He is still doing that. The beautiful thing is that every time I want to give up, He speaks and reassures me. Trust me when I tell you that it won't take long anymore before this promise is fulfilled.

A woman of God once told me: Don't look at the turn of events but trust in the One who alone can fulfill His words (Anonymous, 2021).

What has the Lord told you and how long have you waited for the promised harvest? Has the devil laughed in your face? Look at the devil and tell him ‘you lie, devil! Faithful is He who has given the promise!’.

What is your testimony? (feel free to write to us)
