Ease In Stillness
Psalm 46:10 He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Ease means to relax. 🛌
Stillness means to stop (simply defined).
Before every important thing is done, one must stop to think, calculate or take counts. For example, before crossing the road, you stop 🚫 and then look left and right, then progress to cross with ease. 🚷
Before a house is built 👷 too, you will first sit to take into account all that you need and the cost 💵.
Do you see?
Your life is an edifice 🏰 , hence, subsequently, you need to sit too and take account. The irony though is that some accounts of life aren’t yours to take—all you may need to do is to stop running 🏃 and even thinking 💭 and let God ace you and run the process, while you drift away in His arms.
Stillness could also mean taking a mental escape from the taunts of the world and transcending into the realm of the supernatural where God dwells—live there, don’t leave. When this happens, you become unruffled by all that troubles your spirit and heart—rising over every negativity and living joyfully in the assurance that you have in God.
Now, what are those things you need to stop?
Make a list. Do the needful.
